On behalf of every professional in the department I am delighted to welcome you to our Department. I feel blissful to introduce you to Department of Mechanical Engineering, which is the base of Engineers. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in 2008 with an intake of 60 students The department offers the B.E (Mechanical Engineering in English and Tamil medium) with present intake of 120 students. Department has well qualified and dedicated faculties with well developed laboratories. The Department also provide confidences its students to engage in co-curricular activities, necessary for the overall development. Importance is given to quality teaching and learning process, the staff members and students are encouraged to join various technical and non-technical forums, which in turn gives them a great exposure to concepts of engineering. We deem that our students are molded to become successful engineers with required knowledge, hands on laboratory ,computational skill as well as managerial skills so as to they can work in the industry and also to the society.
